COVID-19 Relief Payment

The Community has funding available to provide federal financial relief to qualifying Community Members who meet certain COVID-19 related criteria. Applications must be received NO LATER THAN December 15, 2020. Payments to eligible applicants submitting a valid application will be made as applications are received.  There is no single payout date.  Payments will begin to be made as soon as the July 2020 Per Capita processing has been completed and on a weekly basis thereafter, with the exception of October during Per Capita processing when there will be a two-week pause while Per Cap is processed.

These COVID-19 financial relief payments are paid under the Community’s General Welfare Ordinance at Section 20-57 et seq. of the Community’s Code of Ordinances and, therefore, are tax-exempt to the recipient.

Criteria for receiving Fund Relief due to COVID-19 payments:

  •      Is an enrolled Member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community; and
  •      Is 18 years of age or older as of the day the COVID-19 Relief Payment application is submitted; and
  •      Has incurred one or more of the identified additional expenses outlined in the application forms (online and paper forms available), that is directly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Application process

There are two ways for individuals to apply

  •      Electronically at www.srpmic-nsn.gov/reliefpayment ; OR
  •      Paper form available in weekly HR mailers or in Community newspaper for a limited time
    •      Mail via USPS to CDD/Membership, 10005 E Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85256 OR
    •      Drop off in the drop box located in the Two Waters roundabout between the Museum and Building A

If you complete your application online, please do NOT also submit a paper form.  This duplication will delay processing.

Method of Payment

Payments will be made in whatever form your most recent Per Capita was paid (unless you made a recent change to payment method since that time, in which case, your most recently requested method will be used).

If you have not signed up for electronic payment, your check will be mailed to the Enrollment address we have on file for you.  If you are not sure if your address is correct, please contact either Enrollment Services (480) 362-7330 or (480) 362-7729.
