Community Health Alert: CDC Cyclospora Outbreak Update

The CDC is investigating a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora infections linked to iceberg lettuce. As fresh produce is a staple during the summer months, we encourage our community to stay informed and practice safe food handling.

Cyclospora is a parasite that can cause:
• Prolonged diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Stomach cramps
• Nausea
• Fatigue
• Weight loss

If you experience these symptoms, especially if they are severe or persistent, contact your healthcare provider for evaluation.

Please follow current CDC and FDA guidance regarding recalled products and food safety recommendations.
