Notice of Restricted Cemetery Access During Construction

Project: Lehi Cemetery Grounds Improvements

Phased construction activities are ongoing at the Lehi Cemetery Grounds and will continue through project completion – Spring 2026. Work includes cemetery roadway construction, entrance gate installation, and cemetery perimeter fencing improvements.

Upcoming construction activities include grading, forming, and pouring concrete curbs, as well as preparation of roadways for stabilized decomposed granite (DG) surfacing. Refer to the attached phased site map for rough-grade subgrade completion dates. Stabilized DG topping dates will be announced following this grading phase.


During construction:
• Alternating access will be provided via Horne Road Entrance and Thomas Road Entrance for cemetery visitors and first responders. Access to Lehi Cemetery Grounds continues to always be provided by Contractors.

• Access will be transitioned between Horne Road Entrance and Thomas Road Entrance as Roadway construction is complete. Anticipated Entrance Closure for Horne Road Entrance is approximately from January 30, 2026, to February 9, 2026, then entrance closure will shift to Thomas Road Entrance from approximately February 9, 2026, to February 23, 2026.

• Temporary delays may occur due to active construction operations.
• Barricades and directional signage will be in place to maintain safety.
• Access to Xalychidom Piipaash Nyvaash will remain open and unrestricted.
• A moving closure will be implemented as roadway sections are constructed. The west Lehi Cemetery entrance shall remain closed until construction is complete.
