Missing & Murdered Indigenous People Awareness Day

A day to honor, remember, and raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). Show your awareness by wearing red or traditional attire.

Custom button making will be set up at both events. Bring your photo (no smaller than a 4×6 photo) which will be cut in to a 3-inch round button shape to give you a customized button to wear.


Red Wrap

Two Waters Amphitheater

8:30 am – 10:30 am

Join us to help wrap the Two Waters Amphitheater in red. Please bring your photos and/or other remembrances to the Amphitheater in memory and acknowledgement of MMIP loved ones. You can also add your handprint to the back wall of the amphitheater.

Light Up the Night: A Night of Hope & Healing

ALA Football Field
📍4827 N. Country Club Dr., Scottsdale, AZ

5:30 pm: Walk Registration Opens

6:30 pm: Short Program

All members of the community and employees are invited to attend, extending a warm welcome to families affected by these tragedies to set up tables adorned with pictures and information about their loved ones or to bring banners and signs. You can also participate in a walk of remembrance illuminated by luminarias in honor of those lost.

This is a NO alcohol/drug/gang/tobacco/vaping event. NO pets, firearms/weapons, outside ice chests/grills/food/glass allowed. Bags subject to search.
