Cultural Sensitivity Training

For Construction Professionals and other Ground Disturbing Contractors and Staff

This training is designed to prepare and educate all construction, mining, maintenance and other personnel that work within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC or Community) to protect the rich cultural heritage and artifacts of the O’Odham and Piipaash people who have thrived on this land for time immemorial.

The training is available via electronic learning, for ease of use by you and your staff team to promote a safe and healthy environment during this unprecedented time.

Please note that this training is required under the mandates of Salt River Ordinance 19-3 that requires the preservation of the cultural history of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Training Protocol

  • You must register to patriciate in the training by visiting XXXXXX (insert link). If you do not register, you will not be given the correct credentials at the end of the training.

  • At the end of the video training (approximately XX minutes), you will receive a link to take a short test confirmation quiz.
  • Upon your completion of the quiz, you will be sent a temporary certification email and within X weeks, you will receive a colored sticker that will you can place on your person (safety helmet or other item that you have with you at all times on a job site) that can be visible or presented to SRPMIC officials at any time.
