From the intricate basket designs to hand crafted and painted pottery, the Akimel O’odham and Xalychidom Piipaash have a long and vibrant history of incorporating art into everyday life. That artwork is still in existence today and is carried on to future generations through multiple modern art mediums.
Discover Salt River is excited to showcase the various arts to the public in the first annual Salt River Arts Festival! The free event will have an art exhibit, live performances, art vendors and more! The first 200 guests will receive a complimentary canvas tote.
