Senior Book Club with Salt River Tribal Library

Join Community Recreational Services Tribal Library on March 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Ske:g Himdag Ki: Senior Room for our monthly Senior Book Club.

Through this program, participants explore books written by Native authors and gather for thoughtful discussion in a welcoming and supportive space. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, engage in meaningful conversation, and discover all that the Salt River Tribal Library has to offer.

The Senior Book Club is currently reading Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley (Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa). Set within the Ojibwe community in Northern Michigan, the novel follows Daunis Fontaine, a biracial Ojibwe teen who becomes involved in an FBI investigation after witnessing a crime. The story weaves together themes of identity, resilience, culture, and community.
