Brownfields Program
SRPMIC Community Development Department – Environmental Protection & Natural Resources
The Brownfields Program aims to clean up the Community and promote environmental awareness.
Some examples of contaminated sites (potential brownfield sites): abandoned gas stations, dump sites with hazardous chemicals or petroleum products, old facilities with abandoned drums or known to have had spills of chemicals, buildings built prior to the 1980’s that may have building materials (such as asbestos or lead-based paint, PCB fluorescent light ballasts, fluorescent light bulbs, and/or areas treated with pesticides) that are now banned, etc.
Do you suspect there are or know about any contaminated sites within the Community?
