About Us

The Family Advocacy Center (FAC) provides coordinated services for victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, elder abuse, or other forms of family-related violence. It brings together professionals from multiple disciplines, such as law enforcement, social services, healthcare, victim advocacy, and legal support to streamline assistance and reduce the trauma victims may experience from navigating separate agencies.

SERVICES PROVIDED

  • Victim advocacy and support (including help with protective orders)
  • Emergency relocation assistance
  • Trauma counseling
  • Case management
  • Collaboration with law enforcement and prosecutors
  • Forensic interviews – Forensic interviews are conducted by a trained professional with a child who is a victim or witness of a crime. The purpose of forensic interviews is to gather evidence of crime that occurred involving a child.
