Example: Jose’s Journey
- Jose chooses the Physical Domain. His first streak is flossing his teeth daily.
- He earns 1 Streak Point per day for flossing. If he flosses every day for 8 weeks (56 days), he earns 56 Streak Points (perfect streak).
Adding More Streaks
- After 14 consecutive days of flossing, Jose can start a second streak.
- If he misses a day, he must start over before adding a new streak.
Second Streak: Daily Walking Breaks
- Jose schedules a 15-minute walk at 2:30 PM each day.
- Now he earns 1 point for flossing + 1 point for walking = 2 points/day.
- If he completes both streaks for the challenge, he earns 98 Streak Points (2 perfect streaks).
Third Streak: Eat Fresh Fruit Daily
- After another 14 days of success with both streaks, Jose adds a third streak: eating fresh fruit daily.
- Now he earns up to 3 points/day.
- If successful, he earns 126 Streak Points (3 perfect streaks).
Fourth Streak: Dietary Logging
- After another 14 days, Jose adds a fourth streak: logging meals in the SparkPeople App.
- Now he earns up to 4 points/day.
- If successful, he earns 140 Streak Points (4 perfect streaks).
Challenge Duration & Rewards
- The challenge lasts 8 weeks (56 days).
- At the end, Jose has started 1–4 healthy habits and earned up to 140 Streak Points.
- The Streak Challenge is worth up to 50 WellPath Points, based on Streak Points earned.
Converting Streak Points to WellPath Points
- The challenge uses a grading scale:
- 126–140 Streak Points = 50 WellPath Points
- Example: 100 Streak Points = 40 WellPath Points
- You don’t need to be perfect to earn points!
After the Challenge
- Complete the post-Streak Challenge Evaluation sent by WellPath.
- WellPath will report your participation in MyWellPath.
- Check your email and submit the evaluation before the deadline.

What is The Streak Challenge?
We all have “intentions” to start doing something we think is good for us or improve on something we already do. Examples:
- “I’m going to start walking on my lunch hour.”
- “I’m going to brush my teeth after every meal.”
- “I’m going to eat fruit every day.”
Those are good streaks! If nothing comes to mind, you can find lots of examples on Streak Challenge Domains. WellPath provides examples from 7 different domains of wellness. For a well-rounded approach, choose streaks from different domains.
The challenge is simple but powerful: repeat a behavior every day for a month or longer, and it can become a habit. While participants have fun and improve their health, they’re developing habits that can last beyond the challenge.
How do I choose a behavior to streak?
Pick a behavior that supports your wellness goals. If you need ideas, check the domains link above.
How do I get started?
Register online using this link: Registration Form.
Be prepared to provide:
- Your employee ID
- An email address for challenge communication
- Your chosen Domain of Wellness
- The behavior you will be streaking
You’ll receive an email with instructions on when to start, options for tracking your streak(s) (daily email, app, or paper tool), and how/when to report progress.
What are “further instructions”?
The challenge follows the principle: success breeds success.
- After 14 consecutive days on your first streak, you can add a second streak.
- After 14 days on the second streak, you can add a third.
- If you’re 100% successful, you’ll have 4 streaks going at the end of 8 weeks.
The more days you streak successfully, the more WellPath points you earn.
Can I have more than one streak?
Yes! You can add more streaks as you progress.
Can I break my streak?
If you break your streak, you can:
- Start over with the same behavior
- Replace it with a new behavior you feel confident completing
How do I track my streaks?
You have options:
- Email: WellPath sends a daily email asking if you were successful. Reply “yes” or “no.”
- Paper Tracker: Download from Streak Tracking, then email a photo or scan weekly to wellness@srpmic-nsn.gov.
- Digital Tracker: Update on your computer and email weekly.
- Apps: Use any streak-tracking app and send screenshots weekly. Examples: Bible Gateway, MyFitnessPal, Bliss, wearable devices, fitness center logs.
What do the Domains of Wellness have to do with the challenge?
Wellness is multifaceted. The Streak Challenge uses the 7 Domains of Wellness model. Domains help you consider streaks that improve wellness in areas you might overlook. For balance, choose streaks from different domains. Download the graphic from Domains of Wellness.
How do my Streak points accumulate?
Points work like a grading scale:
- “A” = 50 WellPath points
- “B” = 45 points
- And so on.
You don’t need to be perfect to earn points! Even 14 days earns points. No “F” grades here.
