If someone you know is missing and you’re concerned for their safety, you can file a missing person report right away — there is no waiting period.
Contact the Correct Agency
You should file the report with the law enforcement agency where the person was last seen.
If the agency is unable to assist and the missing person resides within SRPMIC, contact the Salt River Police Department (SRPD). SRPD can assist directly or act as a liaison between agencies.

- For missing adults: Police will verify the individual’s safety, but their location may not be disclosed due to privacy laws
- For prolonged missing person cases: Be prepared to provide:
- Recent photos and physical identifiers (tattoos, scars, eye/hair color, height, weight)
- Names of friends, family, employers
- Dental records, DNA, or other identifying information if available

Welfare checks are appropriate when:
