Records

Records Mission

The mission of the SRPD Records Bureau is to provide state-of–the-art records management and data collection for the Salt River Police Department in accordance to policy and law, in an accurate and timely manner, making records available to the public and to members of the criminal justice system.

Property and Evidence Bureau

The Salt River Police Department (SRPD) Property and Evidence Bureau (PEB) is responsible for all property or evidence which comes into the custody of the Salt River Police Department, including: packaging, impounding and storage of items by adhering to set legal and OSHA standards. This also includes the transporting of items to authorized crime laboratories for scientific or forensic examinations.

Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA)


Welcome to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) Sex Offender Registry (SOR) website. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is in the process of enacting key provisions of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). As part of SORNA, all qualifying sex offenders who work, go to school, or reside within the SRPMIC boundaries are required to register with the Salt River Police Department. In addition, the SORNA compliance process establishes the SRPMIC Sex Offender Registry website as a publicly accessible registry. The Sex Offender Registry is maintained by the SRPMIC and the Salt River Police Department – Special Investigations.

Extra (Off) Duty and Special Events

Extra Duty Officer Hiring Policy

The Salt River Police Department allows its Police Officers to be hired “extra-duty” as temporary employment only within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community under the following conditions:

General Investigations Bureau

The Salt River Police Department (SRPD) General Investigations Bureau (GIB) investigates major crimes, person crimes, crimes against children, and property crimes.

Major Crimes Unit

Conduct follow-up investigations on serious or violent crimes.

Property Crimes Unit

Conduct follow up on investigations on crimes related to property.

Special Victims Unit

Conducts follow-up investigation of Crimes against Children, family crimes and persons crimes.

SORNA

Maintains, coordinates, and administers the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA)
